To successfully create an Internet Marketing Business it needs good planning, strategies and good Internet Marketing Tools.  Having your own internet marketing business isn’t as easy or as simple as it looks.  Like almost any other endeavour it needs time, effort, patience, commitment and sometimes dogged determination to achieve success. However, if you use the right tools and methods in your online business having a successful business can be faster with more effective results.

In this article we are going to discuss three relatively basic but very effective internet marketing tools.

Blog or Website

The first thing to do is to get a Website or a Blog these are basically the same however a blog ads a level of interaction with your potential customers and prospects that a website can’t deliver. You will need a domain name or our website or a blog.  There are lots of places to buy cheap domain names; I use Hostgator (who are excellent).  Keep your domain name as short as you can so it can be easily remembered.

As far as the website/blog itself is concerned you have two options. Get someone to build it for you (there will be a cost) or do it yourself. If you do it yourself go for the Blog option.  Wordpress is the best.  Most people are not able to handle the html code involved with websites, if you can great.  There are loads of videos around that can show set a blog up just check Google out.  The design, well that’s up to you but there are millions up on millions of blogs to view for ideas. Try to be creative and choose a unique professional design that will catch people’s attention.

This is effectively the shop window for your products or services so it needs to be the best you can make it.  It’s were people will get information about you and your internet marketing business. Keep your blog/website updated and fresh this is one of your main on line marketing tools and used properly can be extremely effective in producing recurring sales.

Keywords And Keyword Tools

The next tool is keywords, but in order to take advantage of this tool you need to use other tools (strange but true).  You will use keywords to help get your site in front of hungry customers on search engines like Google, Yahoo, AskJeeves and many, more. The main search engine to rank on is Google as it has the biggest market share.

Using good keywords is an art in itself but vitally important because it’s these keywords that bring visitors to your site who can then (with the right approach) be converted into customers. Just using any old keyword won’t do you have to use keywords which are relevant to your site and your products.  Some keywords are so competitive that you will never be able to rank on page one of Google for them.  The thing is to know what they are and not waste your time and money trying to rank for them.

To find the right keywords for you niche, product, service or opportunity you need to use keyword tools.  Some of these are free some are paid. Let’s have a look at a couple.

The google keyword tool http://www.googlekeywords.com/tool is a free tool that anyone can use. You just type the keyword in and it comes back with how many searches have carried out in Goolge for the keyword you have typed in and provides lists of associated keyword.  You have to handball a lot of the information but it gets the job done and its free.

Market Samurai is the rolls royce of keyword tools.  its functionality is amazing and it  takes most of the hard work out of keyword research.  There are a series of videos explaining exactly how to use it.  All the top marketers use a paid keyword took many of them use Market Samurai. If you have a little extra money to invest in your business on a paid keyword tool that you will use almost everyday in your business Market Samurai it’s fantastic is a fantastic choice.

Email Newsletters

Email Newsletters are another extremely effective Internet Marketing tool you can use in your online business. When people visit your site you will try to capture their name and email address.  This is done by placing and optin form on your blog/website so that visitors can sign up.  As you amass a list of names you then send your Email Newsletter to them with helpful information, tips/hints and offers. Because you have their name and email you can contact them over and over again with updates and offers.  This is extremely powerful and is one of the ways the most successful people online make money.  The money is in the list as they say.

You can coordinate the names and email addresses manually through your email client but this will become more and more difficult as you build your list.  In order to do this effectively you will need an autoresponder.  An autoresponder is a piece of software that automates how your email responses are sent.  It lets you personalise each email by adding the first name of your prospect and schedules the emails to be sent out over a number of days or weeks. Once the emails are written they are effectively on autopilot. As well as this it also stores all the names and addresses and as soon as someone signs up to your list it immediately sends them the first email in the sequence.

I use iContact which is a well known autoresponder there are others but I find this the easiest to use and the most competitively priced. It’s an amazing piece of software and allows me to set and forget all of my email campaigns.  iContact have a free trial on at the moment just click here to take advantage.
